Swiss rail discounts?

My husband and I are going to Lauterbrunnen as part of our honeymoon this May. We are going to Lauterbrunnen from Venice (via Tirano and the Bernina Express) and then from Lauterbrunnen to Paris. Our time in Switzerland spans four days (that is, the day we leave Venice until the day we arrive in Paris is four days total.) I am wondering if the Swiss Half Fare card (or another of the discounts I see on the Swiss Railways website) is a good deal and if there are stipulations/exceptions I should be aware of? Many thanks.

You need to do the math, its that easy. Price out what you would pay point-to-point. then compare using the the different pass options. Depending on what journeys you take in Lauterbrunnen, one of the options should be optimal. The Half Fare Card is bound to save you something.

There are almost no stipulations or exceptions to the Half-Fare Card. Half off is half off. You can check the area of validity on this map:

( use the Swiss Card key). You will see only a couple of high mountain lifts that are excluded, like one up from Crans-Montana, and one from Laax to Crap- something (I forgot how to spell the second part, but only the second part).
