swiss pass for travel from zurich airport to murren and back?

I will be traveling from Zurich airport on a Monday morning to Murren. I will be spending two nights there and hope to do some hikes. probably will go up to Allmendhubel and perhaps into Lauterbrunnen at least once each. On the third day I will be traveling back to the Zurich airport. Is it worth getting a three day swiss travel pass? does it cover the trip to Allmendhubel or only 50%?

Thanks

You might look at the Swiss Transfer ticket for 141 CHF 2nd class. That will cover you between Zurich airport and Muerren. A return trip to Lauterbrunnen and the Allmendhubel will not be that much that just pay as you go. You must buy the Transfer Ticket before you enter Switzerland.

Edit - A RT ticket to Lauterbrunnen is only 22 CHF, and the RT to Almendhubel is only 13 CHF, I imagine it is less if hiking down.

That is your lowest cost option.

I am going to be in Murren for 4 days. I will be flying into Zurich, staying overnight, then taking the train to Murren. would the swiss transfer ticket of be the best way to do this? i also saw that one of the travellers suggested the Berner Oberland Regional Pass. Again assuming that we will be using the vast array of cable cars etc., would this pass make more sense than to just pay as you go?

For our upcoming trip (Lausanne to Murren to Lausanne, 5 days) I ran the numbers for full-fare point-to-point, half fare using a CHF120 Half Fare Card, Transfer Ticket, and Transfer Ticket plus CHF Half-Fare option. Pretty much NO significant difference if including a Schilthorn trip at CHF80 from Murren and a few trips to Lauterbrennen. (Full-fare Lausanne to Murren is about CHF150 round trip, in line with Transfer Ticket cost)
