Swiss Pass-Concern about paper pass

I bought a Swiss Flexi Pass (good for 6 days of travel) online. I was snail-mailed a paper ticket. It looks "legit" but I am concerned about carrying this flimsy piece of paper around for 6 days. I plan to do a LOT of train travel with MANY changes. How does one keep this paper ticket from getting frayed and torn? I know a ziplock baggie will help but I heard that laminating it is not a good idea also. I remember buying some type of insurance in case it gets lost or damaged. In any event, I welcome advice. Thank you in advance.

lisa, get one of those clear plastic ID card holders that go on a cord around your neck. Conductor can see through it at a glance, or you can pull out the paper if she needs to see it.

Remember to write in the date each day you use it, before you board your first train of the day.

You're right it is a little flimsy, but it lasted us the 2 weeks that we used it many years ago.

or perhaps you could photocopy it onto hardier stock, and only pull out the original if someone gets officious.

Photocopies of passes aren't kosher. A couple years back when I used a Swiss Pass some of the train conductors had a small ultra-violet pen like device to see if it was counterfeit. In any event the original has to be validated at a ticket window.
