Swiss mountain trips

I will be leaving soon and have a question as to whether this plan will work. First has to do with Mt Rigi. Instead of going and returning by boat from Vitznau, does it make sense to leave from luzern and train to Arth Goldau and from there take the cogwheel train? Or should I take boat ride first from Vitznau to cogwheel ? and reverse it?

2nd topic: I will be doing the hike from manlichen to Kleine. Schiedegg. I understand it to be easy and approx 1.5-2 hours. What is the best way to return to Lauterbrunnen. I am not clear if there is train from K Schiedegg to Wengen and Lauterbrunnen, or do I have to add more walking to the hike to get train to Wengernalp. Please help! Thanks ahead of time

Topic 1. Either or. Your choice.

Topic 2. There is a train from Kleine Scheidegg to Lauterbrunnen every 30 minutes.

You can use www.sbb.ch to look up schedules for pretty much anything in Switzerland that takes passengers. So you can plan all this rather easily, and do not have to guess how long something will take.

A roundtrip on the Rigi, going up one side and down the other is a good idea. It is what I would do. Do however take the S3 or the Voralpenexpress on that route, as this takes a more scenic route than the IC services do.
