Two adult (father/son) experienced Euro travelers planning a Switzerland/Salzburg/Munich late Sept--early Oct trip. Travel quite comfortably, but back door as much as possible as we are quite in the moment. We do have winery, Lakes, Mts, sites planned.
Plan to purchase Half Fare card (estimated our expenses in comparison to Swiss Travel Pass), maybe BO Card, use local cards for transport discounts if available.
A) Newark to Geneva airport, train to Vevey--3 nights for the wineries & Lake
B) Golden Pass to Interlaken, then train to Mirren area for Mts---3 nights
C) Golden Pass to Luzern (sounds nice & limit hrs on train)--1 night
D) Train thru St Gallen then Appenzell-2 nights
E) Train St Gallen to Salzburg-- 2 nights
F) Train to Munich--3 nights
G Fly to Newark from Munich
