Swiss Holiday park May 11-18, 2019

Hi,

We are planning a family get together in Morschach Swill holiday park where we got 3 bedroom apartment through our time share from May 11 to 18, 2019. We will be either 5 adults or 5 adults and 2 kids. Planning to go nearby places either by train or by renting a car. Need your advice.

Thinking of Zurich, Rhine Falls, Lucern, one of the mountains: Pilatus, Titlis or Rigi. , Interlaken, Bern etc. It is our first visit so not familiar; need your input.

After that planning to go to Paris for couple of days.

Thanks in advance.

You can get Tell Passes to cover transport in the region, but it doesn't cover Rhine Falls, only as far as Luzern. Zurich? Everybody at the Swiss Holiday Park will be from Zurich trying to get away from it. Kids under 16 can get a Tell Pass for the same length as their parents for a flat 30 CHF. There is a bus that runs between the Brunnen train station and the Morschach cable car station every 30 minutes that stops at the Holiday Park.

Tentative plan:
Flying from Paris on May 11th by 5.45 pm; either to rent a car and go to Morschach or find other way.
Will be in Swiss Holiday Park in Morschach for 7 nights.
Sites considering are:
Zurich (1/2 day city tour); may do on the last day May 18th before leaving to Paris or combine with Rhine Falls.
Lucern (1/2 day city tour).
One of the mountains: either Rigi, Tiltis or Pilatus.
Bern combined with Interlaken or on its own. If we do Bern on its own then may try to cover some sites on the way.
Interlaken combined with Jungfrau, Lauterbrunnen valley or Bern, still to decide.
Places around or on the way to other major sites; like Zug, Weggis, Stanserhorn, Aare Gorge etc.
Going back to Paris on 18th after check out; haven't booked a flight yet. May take a train to go back. Plan on 18th of May is still to be finalized.
Will be in Paris for couple of days; need to plan that visit too, will be back to USA on 21st of May, 2019.

I think you might be overlooking what is right on your door step, Stoos. A short bus ride up the road and then cable car up to Stoos.

The quickest way to Paris is train to Basel, then change to TGV to Paris. 6 hours. About the same time as flying with a lot less hassle.

Thanks a bunch; yes, now we are considering the Tell pass for 6 days (May 11-16, 2019). Planning nearby activities accordingly.

We will have one more day after we use Tell pass for 6 days (May 17th, 2019), that day we are planning to go to Bern or Rhine Falls; either by car or train.

Last day (May 18th, 2019) we will leave from Zurich, either by train or plane, that day we are planning to do 1/2 day Zurich City tour.
