I am somewhat confused about this option. For the three of us (2 adults and 1 teen) do I purchase one family pass or do I need one regular pass and one family pass. Looking at the 8 day option. And can everything be done electronically? TIA!

You don’t “purchase” the Swiss Family card. It’s complimentary. And your teen must be 16 or younger. Hopefully this link gives you a better understanding.

To clarify: your teen must be under 16. The parents each need a Swiss Travel Pass, and one of them can request a free Family Card for the child. All can be done online but you must create a SwissPass account.
