Swiss day hike suggestions

Hello - Our last trip thanks to Rick S advice my wife and I stayed in Murren. Three day hikes or tram up and hike down :). Great visit up Jungfrau. Looking for suggestions for another Swiss base/region to book that would offer similar day hikes & views like Murren area? Any suggestions? Thanks!

We like Bettmeralp in the Valais region. It is a car-free village perched high above a valley, msimilR to Mürren. You reach it by cablecar demo the town of Betten, about 10 minutes east of Brig. The village faces south----here is the view we have from our hotel balcony:

The hiking there is fantastic. On the other side of the ridge that rises behind town, you will find the Aletschgletscher, Europe's longest glacier ( it starts at Konkordiaplatz just below the Jungfraujoch). Trails take you along the ridge top or lower, alongside the glacier. There are several lifts in the area that you can take up if you prefer to hike downhill (we prefer to hike up and ride down). There is plenty of hiking to keep you busy for days.
