Sunday in Lausanne-Montreaux-Vevey

We will be in the Swiss riviera the beginning of June for 4 nights. Arriving Friday afternoon. It seems like everything is closed on Sunday in the area. Any suggestions on things to do? May be a good day for a long hike. I was hoping that the lavaux wine trail included stopping at wineries (which I figured would be closed on sunday) but now I know that’s not the case so maybe hike that all day? Are some restaurants open? Is this a reason to stay in the bigger town of Lausanne than the smaller town of vevey for example ? Finally is it cool on the trails there that time of year? Thanks !!

You can take the train up to Rochers-de-Naye.

I also loved the boat rides on lake Geneva. But, my favorite thing to do in the area was walking around in Saint-Saphorin.

June is a great time to be in Switzerland. I was there this past June and could not get over all the wildflowers in the mountains. Also, early June is perfect for viewing the flowers along the Montreux lakeside promenade.

Maison Cailler for chocolate tour (yes, very yummy) open 7/7.

La Maison du Gruyère (Maison Callier is nearby) is also 7/7, even Christmas. (also yummy) They have a demonstration cheese factory, museum, restaurant (yes, yummy), and shop.

Oh yes, forgot to mention, Maison Cailler not only has tons of samples, but it possible to buy vast quantities of the stuff (don't ask how I know - we were travelling in my car)
