We're hoping to ski one morning of our three days in Zermatt. We will be there a week from now. Have any of you skied there recently? Was there enough base, and low temperatures to provide a good experience? I know that it's possible to ski into Italy in the winter season, is that true for summer as well? Thanks in advance for your advice.

You are skiing on a glacier. Have not skied in Zermatt in the summer, but I did at Les Deux Alpes about 20 years ago. Nothing to write home about, but very cool to say you went skiing in summer in the Northern Hemisphere.

No skiing into Italy at this time of the year, but conditions should be OK all things considered, even though May was warm and dry.
