I love that you’re staying several nights in each spot. This is so critical due to the weather, especially in the mountains. For your time in Wengen, it’s great to have an idea of what you want to do and what makes sense to group together. But definitely be flexible on what days you do what. Let the weather be your guide. If you want to go to Jungfraujoch, watch the weather and webcams every day. If the weather looks clear the next day, get up early and check the webcams. If it’s clear - GO! Don’t wait for the last day and hope the weather cooperates. We were there in late June for 5 nights and it was cloudy/rainy up there for 5 of 6 days. When we finally got a clear morning, we went, and it was spectacular. Then we got caught in a massive lightning storm on First later in the day. The weather changes fast.

We stayed at Chalet Gerbera in Wengen. The views from the balcony are stunning.

I think it’s a great plan. While in Luzern, your boys might enjoy a visit to the Swiss Museum of Transpirt. Planes and trains and automobiles. Boats, too. Where else can they climb aboard railway engines? And a great model railroad as well.

If you want to remove a night, take out the night in Zurich by switching your order to Wengen > Zermatt > Luzern and just go to the airport straight from Luzern.
