store a carry-on bag overnight at ZRH Zurich airport

I understand there are 2 sets of lockers - one on L-1 (SBB), and one on L1. Plane arrives at 21:45 (from Ibiza so probably gate E) on Sat night for a 15 hour tie-over. (I understand things close down at 22:00) But do they take credit cards? or require CHF? ( I will have a bit of euro bills on me). Do they make change or I need exact amount of bills? Haven't decided what to do in that 15 hours (thought I had but maybe changing)(nice folks keep giving me great ideas of what to do!!!). Thanks!!!

EDIT: Just sent an inquiry email to transit hotel at ZRH for info - maybe stay there till 7am and then a bit of sightseeing. edit: and got an auto reply immediately - I hear from them in 12 hours. Nice.

We stored our bags in the lockers at ZRH. I do not remember how we paid, but it must have been by CC because we did not have any CHF.

My recommendation would be to get the hotel room (preferably near the city center), sleep, and in the morning as you check out leave your bag with the concierge to hold while you walk around town for a couple hours. You'll need to be back at the airport NLT 10am anyways. You might get a little more time walking around if you carry it with you, depending on where your hotel is.

KGC after a lot of spinning, your idea wins. I got a hotel in/near the old city which is where I want to walkabout. Their checkout is noon so I can just leave bag in room, do my walk, back to hotel, pick up bag and 200meters walk to HB and back to ZHR. The clincher was I found out it's a 30 min walk to get from transit hotel to SBB ticket counter in ZRH - wasted time in morning! Plus this gives me 3-4 hours walk if I get up early.

Kris - Sounds good. I love walking early in the morning as the city wakes up.
