Stay in Mürren.. how to get back in evenings?

Hello,

I have booked a stay at the Edelweiss Hotel in Mürren. The views look spectacular. We do plan to visit both valleys and possibly Jungfraujoch over the course of 4 days.

My worry is that I’ve heard the train you take from halfway up after taking the cable car from Lauterbrunnen closes early, maybe well before dinner? From what I understand the cable car from Lauterbrunnen runs a long time, but it’s the train to Mürren we have to switch to that closes early. How do people get back to Mürren after a full day out exploring the valleys and other mountain towns? Our trip is in July.

You have to take the short bus ride to Stechelberg (the bus will be waiting outside the Lauterbrunnen train station) to catch the Schilthornbahn gondola up to Gimmelwald and then transfer to the gondola up to Mürren. The last trip is at 23:29.

The last lift up from Lauterbrunnen to Grutschalp to the train to Murren is at 20:35.

Thank you both. I will also check out that site- although at the moment I don’t know the names of the places I want to go yet, so it’s hard to just punch them in and get a price.
