Snow boots needed in Murren this week?

Hi all! I head to Murren for a week on Friday. Temperatures range from 18-48 depending on the day and which forecast we look at. We have solid snow boots we were planning on bringing but now the weather is looking like we might not need them? We are not skiing or snowboarding, just walking around in streets and down to Gimmelwald, with day trips up to Birg and the Jungfrau. Our boots and crampons are feeling like overkill but I know weather is temperamental. Thoughts? They are awfully heavy to take and not use but if we need them and don’t have them it’s not great.

There is currently snow in Murren in the village and the weather forecast isn't warming up enough for that all to melt. I think crampons seem like overkill if all you plan to do is walk around the village and to tourist viewpoints, but I'd certainly want waterproof footwear. I wouldn't be going to Murren in February without boots.

18-48? That is extremely hot! In Switzerland (indeed everywhere outside of USA) they use Celsius.

Jokes aside, you will definitely need boots in Murren in February and March.
