Skydiving in Interlaken

We are going on RS My Way Alpine next spring. Has anyone done a skydive in Interlaken?

I was in the area a few weeks ago.
There were so many paragliders in the air I think almost everybody does it. (not me, though)

Skydiving from a plane and paragliding from a land takeoff point are totally different. Which would you like to do?

I hope you have a generous travel budget.....

Be sure to check the Requirements and FAQ section, regading age, weight, etc. Also check you travel insurance regarding participation in hazardous sports. The skydiving company may offer a limited policy just for the jumps, in case you get injured; you'll have to check with them.

Thanks Ken - yes, this is a site I looked at. Have you done this with this company?

I have been Paragliding in the Mürren area with https://airtime-paragliding.com/, but haven't done skydiving there. I'd like to try it but unfortunately at this point I'm above their weight limits. We have a good skydiving company here and maybe one day I'll give it a try.

Well I guess you must feel that the views are incredible from the air! I have only skydived once, in my 20s! Want to do it one more time and thought, well I want a beautiful location and then realized we are going to Switzerland in June!
THANKs Ken

Gosh, thank goodness we did not see this, or we might have signed up! We wanted to do the paragliding, but we were in Switzerland late March and it was very windy--even the ski lifts were closed for two days in a row!

It looks very interesting, and although the price is a bit high, overall it is reasonable since you are using a helicopter and it looks almost like a private adventure. We have taken helicopter rides/excursions and paid similar prices in the U.S.

I think the Swiss have a great reputation for high safety levels, so it should be well organized. Just pay attention to weather forecasts.

I hope you can accomplish your dream--best wishes!

You can do skydiving, but as all activities in Interlaken it will not take place in Interlaken. They are able to pick you up in Interlaken though... You will probably then be taken to the Heliport in Lautebrunnen.

(The only think Interlaken has going for it, is that it is easy to leave, to go to somewhere more interesting :-) )

WengenK - thanks! Yes, I believe they pick up in Interlaken.
Philalady - I'm thinking they don't skydiver when it is that cold! Anyhow - I wouldn't!!!!!
We are doing RS My Way Alipine next June so hopefully this might work. I love helicopters and with the reviews of the paragliding, and seeing the pictures - what better place to do it! We shall see if it works out, but very good to know their record on safety!!!!! Of course, it is something I have thought about, so thanks.
