Should we get Swiss travel pass for Berner Oberland region?

My mother and I will have a parked rental car in the Berner Oberland region for 4.5 days. I preferred to travel to and from the region by train, but my elderly mother wanted access to a car due to luggage and other locations that we'll be visiting.

We're staying in Gimmelwald and will be using the trains and lifts to visit Schilthorn and Jungfraujoch and to get to and from Gimmelwald. I may be using a lift for some day hiking other days, and we may also visit Ballenberg and Brienz during that timeframe. It's difficult to figure out the overall point to point cost due to the cost of some lifts not being posted online. Should we (1) purchase a 4 day Swiss travel pass (2) purchase a Oberland regional pass or (3) pay point to point?
Thank you for any recommendations! Elizabeth

We are big fans of the Berner Oberland Regional Pass as once you pay for it, other than the Schilthorn and the Jungfraujoch there are no extra charges. You can ride the trains and lifts all day for no extra coin. we usually use 150% or more of the face value when we stay for 4 or 5 days. Since every time you leave Gimmelwald, you will need a lift, it will probably noodle out for you. You will just pay the supplement when you go to the Schilthorn and the Jungfraujoch. BTW, it also covers the Post Bus, which you will no doubt use.
