Even though we'll only have 1 1/2 free days on our Rick Steves tour (we'll be staying in Murren Aug 24-26) is it worth it to buy a Half Price pass to use toward the transportation up and down the mountainside? We'll be doing some hiking.

I haven’t heard of a Half-price ticket but you would not want to buy SBB’s Half-Fare Card because it costs CHF 120 ( US$140) per adult.

In other words, you will only save money if you have 240 CHF worth of full fare tickets. It could be worth it if you intend to do the Jungfraujoch, which is 282.40 CHF from Muerren r/t.
