Should we buy a euro rail pass?

Hello,

I searched extensively in the forums before posting this. We are planning a trip to Europe this summer and our itinerary is like this:

Arrive Zurich - Stay 2 days
Zurich - Lauterbrunnen - Stay 3 days
Lauterbrunnen to Salzburg, Austria - Stay 2 days
Salzburg to Vienna - Stay 3 days
Vienna to Munich, Germany - fly out

I looked at single trip ticket from Zurich to Lauterbrunnen on Swiss railways website and it came to almost 220 CHF. I am not sure if I am looking a the right website for tickets.

I am trying to decide if a point-point ticket is better or if I should buy a euro rail pass. Would appreciate any advise.

Thanks

How many is "we", and what ages? The actual price is 77.60 CHF per adult.

Another question, what do you plan to do in Lauterbrunnen? Sit in the sun, or take some of the lifts into the mountains? That is a factor too.

Sam,

Thanks for the reply. It is a family of 4. 2 Adults and 2 Kids. As of now the plan is to just do things in and around lauterbrunnen like Trummelback falls, para gliding etc., Will that make a difference?

Thx

You need to be mindful that the Eurail pass is not valid from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen, as this is what they call a private line so a point to point ticket is needed for this section...
