Should I bring a bathing suit?

I'm heading to Switzerland for the RS 12-day beginning on 9/3 (next week). The weather still reads in the low 80's for daytime highs in many of the destinations. Assuming the forecast is accurate, do I take up valuable suitcase space for a bathing suit?

It depends what your tolerance for cold mountain stream water might be. Earlier this month with temperatures in the mid 80s we saw people taking the plunge in lakes and floating in the clear rivers in several locations in Switzerland.

Yep. it is snow melt, not Gulf Stream 80+ water. It would be refreshing

Check with the RS tours to find out how many of the hotels have pools.

I agree with Edgar, contact the RS tour office. I took the tour in July 2016, the only hotel with a pool was in Lugano. (Hotel International au Lac). However, a float down the river in Bern looked like a lot of fun.

The weather has turned. No longer over 30°. 17° today, rising to 26° on Tue (4th) and 27° Wed (4th). That's down in the cities. A lot lower up in the mountains. And mountain streams and lakes are cold at all times.
Outdoor swimming would be unlikely. But at a suitably secluded spot you would not need a bathing suit ☺
