Short Soglio hike

Hello Everyone!
This summer we're going to be in Verenna and I read that you can easily do a day trip thru the Bernina Pass to Switzerland. We are told that Soglio would be the best place to get out and stretch our legs and do a short hike. Can anyone recommend a specific hike from Soglio that would work for this? Maybe we could pack a picnic and hike up somewhere to enjoy the scenery while we eat? Since the drive there and back to Verenna will be all day the hike should probably be less than 2 hrs. Advice please?

You could do a hike near varenna. There’s a bunch. Especially if you have a car.

I stayed in varenna last year and did a fantastic hike up mount legnone. One of the best hikes of my life. Stunningly beautiful. You can see the whole of Lake Como and the Swiss alps. I saw the Matterhorn way off in the distance and a herd of ibex.

It’s a very hard hike but you don’t have to go all the way. There’s great view points throughout.

There’s others too, closer to varenna. And across the lake.

This website has some good info: https://www.explorelakecomo.com/pages/common/search.jsp?find=Hiking&submitbutton=

Plus in Ricks Italy book he lists some hikes around Lake Como.
