Are your hotels booked? I like to end in Luzern and take the train from there to the airport. This June, after landing in Zurich, I went to Montreux, then Zermatt, then Murren/Wengen, then Luzern. That would give you an extra night in the mountains. Otherwise, it looks good to me.

If you need a suggestion for Montreux, I really enjoy taking the short train to St. Saphorin to walk in the vineyards. The train up to Rochers is another good option.

I have multiple trip reports for Switzerland if you’re interested. You can click on my name to find them.

Have a great trip!!

Thanks Carrie. Our return flight would be at 10:10 am from Zurich. Can we make it from Luzern?

Well, there’s a 6:09 train that would get you to the airport at 7:12 and a 6:35 train that would get you there at 7:42. So, I guess it depends on whether you mind getting up that early. The trains are very reliable, so I wouldn’t worry about them being late.

Passport control at Zurich is hit or miss. It might take 5 minutes or it might take an hour.
