Sending luggage ahead: Montreux to Luzern

Hi guys,

First time poster here :)

I just have one question. I will be spending some time of my honeymoon in Switzerland. My route would be Luzern - Murren (3 nights)- Montreux. My question is, would I be able to send my luggage ahead to Montreux from Luzern and pick it up 3/4 days later? I know we can send it but will they be able to store it? After all I've read, I believe it would be better to just carry our backpacks to Murren as we probably would have quite a large piece of luggage each.

I would much appreciate any advise. Thanks!

SBB (Swiss Federal Railways) does a luggage service, click here for details. It is between staffed stations only, but Luzern and Montreux are both staffed. Cost CHF 12 per item. It says:

Storage.
Your luggage will be stored free of charge on the day of arrival and for four subsequent days. A fee of CHF 5.00 will be charged for every additional day.

We recently used this service from Montreux to Zurich and picked up our luggage on the second day. It was a miracle. We could never have changed trains like our schedule called for with our large suitcases. Thank goodness for Fast Baggage!
