Hi there, my family and I will be spending 5 days in Wengen later this summer, and then traveling to Italy for the remainder of our trip. This will be our first time visiting these countries. I’m getting a bit overwhelmed by the options we have to travel via train to the Santa Maria Novella station in Florence - your first hand experiences, tips, suggestions are very much appreciated. If it matters we’ll be leaving early on a Friday morning and ideally would like to be in Florence by 3 or 4 p.m. I also considered flying but that doesn’t seem to save much time. Many thanks for your input!
I have first hand experience traveling from Wengen to Florence, having done that last April :-)
Basically book this on www.sbb.ch
You will notice however that the route via Spiez - Domodossola (which is the usual route) will involve a bus, as the line is currently closed for maintenance. You can also travel via Luzern, which will be longer, but all train.
Thank you @WengenK
