For the life of me I cannot figure out how to see and purchase seats on the Golden Pass. I am trying to make seat reservations for September 22, 2022 from Interlaken Ost to Montreux. The site (sbb.ch) will only let me reserve seats on the Spiez to Zweisimmen section...BUT...I can't see the seats I'm trying to reserve. The Golden Pass site won't let me book or see anything,
except the pretty pictures that describe the trip. I'm wanting to reserve seats on the Panoramic or Belle Epoque trains. Can anybody help me?

You can only purchase tickets or reserve seats up to 60 days in advance. Once you are inside the 60 day window, you can see the carriage layout and choose a seat. 9 CHF/seat 2nd class.

By the way, there is absolutely no need to reserve seats between Interlaken and Zweisimmen. Only useful between Zweisimmen and Montreux (but not mandatory).

Different private train companies have different policies. You can do that on the Glacier Express, but they are owned and operated by the Matterhorn-Gotthard Bahn and Rhaetische Bahn. The Montreux to Zweisimmen railroad is owned by the Montreux Oberland Bernois Railway (MOB).

There is no need to reserve seats on this route. just travel at a time of your choosing. None of the trains on the route require reservations.

Thanks for all the info. I am finding it is not easy to navigate all the train routes.
