We have never been to these Cantons and are planning on seeing what they are like for a few days in September. I am wondering if anyone else has been there and what they are like. We'll be traveling with the Swiss Saver Pass. Thanks!

I don't have any experience in those cantons, but of course parts of the William Tell Express and Glacier Express scenic trains are through Uri. The SBB site is grouping this area under "Central Switzerland." Each area also has its own tourist info office: http://www.uri.info/en/index.cfm and http://www.info-schwyz.ch/en/.
