Schilthorn maintenance

Hello, all.
I’m trying to see if we will be able to make it up to Schilthorn during our Wengen stay in late May this year. I’m attaching the maintenance schedule from their site but I’m unclear what it means. Can we still go? Get to the restaurant, James Bond experience etc? It looks like the airway cableway is ok but not the funicular. Are both required to get up and back?

Thanks so much!

The funicular Mürren - Allmendhubel is a different thing, not needed to go up the Schilthorn.

what you need to know about the Allmendhubelbahn https://www.interlaken.ch/en/experiences/poi/funicular-railway-muerren-allmendhubel

The photo at the top of the page is from part way up looking back to Mürren. It is a fun ride, good stuff at the top including Rick's windflowers. Not connected to and not required for the ride up to the Schilthorn.

You are right that it will be closed while you are there, until the first week of June, and the excursion up the Schilthorn will be open.

Thank you! It looks like the coast is clear if weather is good to go up the Shilthorn. :)

The only complication without the Allmendhubel being closed is that it adds a lot of uphill to some of the hikes you might want to do from Murren. We just huffed it up (we were unknowingly hiking with Covid, so it’s not that bad, but it makes a fairly easy hike more challenging).
