I am heading to Switzerland in August and hoping to go to the Schiltorn. I would like to eat at the Piz Gloria restaurant. I am not sure if I should try to make advance reservations for the restaurant or wait until the day of and go up there on a clear day. I will be in the area for 3 full days so part of me is thinking of letting the weather conditions help me to decide when to go up there, BUT I also know that it is a popular place. Does anyone have experience with this restaurant? Should I wait or make advance reservations?

We ate here and did not have reservations. This was in September. We waited to go up on a clear day as if the weather was bad it would have not been very exciting. I don’t think you’ll have any issues but I also haven’t been there in August so maybe it’s way busier.

Since you will be in the area three days, I'd say no to making reservations. The weather is hard to predict. When we were there, it was socked in with almost no visibility. Glad we had not made reservations.
