Scenic rail questions

Hello! We have nine nights, and want to do both the glacier express and bernina routes, ending with a few days in northern Italy. So far am thinking fly into Zurich, 2 nights in Lucerne, 1 night in zermatt taking glacier express line to Chur… one night in Chur… bernina to tirano to Verona (all in one day)… two nights in Verona… three nights in Venice… home from Venice. We have already spent time in the Oberland, so this would be a chance to see a lot more of Switzerland plus we love trains. How would you amend this plan if at all?

Don't spend the night in Chur. Spend it in st. Moritz, or nearby in Pontresina. The Glacier Express goes Zermatt - st. Moritz, and the Bernina goes st. Moritz - Tirano.

From the maps, it looks like the Glacier Express actually becomes the Bernina at Chur... can I stop at Pontresina and continue along that route? Also: why not Chur? From pix it looks very nice, while St. Moritz looks awfully pricey?

FWIW, I spent 2 nights in Chur, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
This TBH, I also spent a week I Pontresina, loving IT.

The Glacier Express goes from Zermatt to St Moritz, stopping at Chur along the way. The Bernina Express goes from Chur to Tirano, stopping at Pontresina along the way, which is just a few miles from St Moritz. There is also a morning and afternoon Bernina Express from St Moritz to Tirano, stopping at Pontresina along the way.

So between Chur and St Moritz, both trains cover the same route.

along with the hourly normal trains, also on exactly the same route with the same views, less fancy but more frequent and often less full
