SBB website question

When looking at fares on the SBB website, it gives you travel options that include full price or "half fare travelcard." Is the "half fare travelcard" the same thing as the Swiss Half Fare Card?

I keep hearing that the SBB website assumes you already have a Swiss Half Fare Card. So when the website says "full price" is this actually full price?

This only pops up sometimes. Now I can't find that screen. Every time I go to SBB and enter connections to search fares, it gives me different information.

If you click on the red ticket icon, it will send you to a page where you can change half fare to full fare. To add complications, they often show options for SuperSaver tickets, which are train-specific and nonrefundable, and Saver Day Pass tickets, which are nonrefundable but can be used on any train in Switzerland for that day. To get the real full fare ticket, click on "point-to-point".

My most pressing question is whether the "half fare travelcard" is the same thing as the Swiss Half Fare Card. I read somewhere that there's a half fare card that's only for Swiss residents, and I'm wondering if that's the half fare travelcard.

Yes, they are the same, in that there is a year long version, mainly for Swiss residents, and the 30-day International guest version. Functionally the same, you get half fare.
