I recently got a new credit card, same number updated CVV & expiration date so I removed my old number now the new card will not take into the SBB system. I've tried Chrome, Edge browsers, cleared caches, tried the app, two different computers. SBB help desk says simply they cannot help and Chase Sapphire Reserve has been unable to help as well. They tried bypassing what they call the 3D Secure to allow every charge to clear them to the merchant, but it apparently kicked back and the merchant, SBB would not accept it. I had them put it back on because it is not helping. Interhome has had no problem charging my card for most of my stays. I'm quite a bit nervous about heading there Monday with my CC not working. Any help would be appreciated.

May I suggest to try again and by completing your expiration date use the 4 digits in the year instead of 2 (f.ex. 2029 instead of 29).
But it is also still possible SBB doesn't accept Chase CC, probably due to the fees, as stated in the second-to-last post here https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/switzerland/credit-card-problems-in-switzerland

Chase Sapphire Reserve gives 4% cash back on airline tickets, and if that also applies to train tickets, that means SBB is getting charged at least 6% for the tickets, which may be enough for them to reject it. European credit card fees are capped at 0.30%, so high credit card fees stand out and invite being rejected.
