SBB app questions

I’m looking to input personal information on the app and I have a few questions.

1 ) Under “payment method”, I see Apple Pay is populated. There is a field below that reads “Add payment method”. Do I also enter the Visa credit card I will use to buy Saver Day passes and Supersaver tickets? It is the same Visa card that is on my Apple Pay. I want to make sure my credit card goes through (not rejected) when I buy these tickets in advance.

2) What are the steps to set up the app so that the Half Price fare isn’t what I see? I am not buying a Half Price card.

3) In the “Other Settings” section, there is an option to “Always Add Tickets to Wallet”. So on my iPhone, will that mean if I choose that option, the Saver Day Passes, the Supersaver tickets, any any other tickets I buy on the app will go to Apple Wallet? That would be nice.

  1. You can select a default passenger and then specify it doesn't have a discount, I.e. 1/1 instead of 1/2 in the app. You can also change that easily at any ticket or pass search (1/2 or 1/1 buttons).

Andre, I have been doing that for each price check I have site for potential train trips. Still, the half price fair is still the first thing I see until I click on to another page. Thanks for chiming in.

I posted this thread a few days ago. Does anybody have the answers or maybe I should have created this thread on the transportation forum.

I had the same issue. The work around is to delete the app, reinstall it, and search a fare. The first fare you start to pick, the “half fare travelcard” message pops up that requires you to check yes or no RE if you have a half fare card or not. You may need to register again, though. There may be an easier way, but I wasn’t able to find it.

Thanks Jay. I'd rather not delete and re-download as I already populated my personal info and that might mess things up if I delete, re-download and then perhaps be told that my account already exists or something like that. It's not a big issue that the 1/2 fare options are pre-populated.

My other two questions (Questions 1 & 3) which are more important I'll post in the transportation forum in a few days.
