Has anyone been to this museum? I thought it might be a great place to stop and visit for a ten year old that loved the War Museum in London last summer. We will be coming from Appenzel on the way to Zermatt. We are planning on using the train during our visit only it looks like this might only be accessible by car.

I haven't visited the museum, but it is located at the top of the Gotthard Pass, which is not the easiest place to visit. If you don't have a car (or don't want to drive on crazy mountain switchbacks), the Gotthard Passhöhe is also served by post bus from late June to early October (bus route between Andermatt and Airolo), so in theory you can get to the museum by public transportation, but it would be more of a day trip (for example doable from Luzern region or Ticino) than something you stop by en route. Not sure that it would be feasible with your itinerary.
