RS Best of Switzerland Tour

I did a search of past posts and one mentioned that on the tour you are given a pass for the time spent in Murren. Do you know what kind of pass and can it get you to the Thrill walk and the variety of lifts/gondolas in the area? Also mentioned is the "option" for breakfast at the Schilthorn restaurant, but on the tour description it is listed, as if it is included. Anyone taken this tour post pandemic and know what current inclusions are?
And a question about the Matterhorn. A stop in Zermatt and a bit of free time enroute from Lugano to Lausanne is listed in the itinerary. Apparently seeing the Matterhorn is highly weather dependent, so given that it happens to be a lovely day, is that a sufficient Matterhorn experience or would you recommend spending time there prior or post tour to take the gondolas, etc? I would plan on going back to Lauterbrunnen/Murren for more time post tour.
Final question. It doesn't appear that any the tour includes any scenic train rides. Is that a "must do" Swiss experience or do you see the same scenery driving from place to place on the tour bus?
Just thought I'd ask before calling the RS office. Thanks for any input you can give.

We did the tour pre- COVID, and it's a great tour . As RS said, Zermatt is a one - trick pony town, so no reason to return. You will see enough spectacular summits , if the weather cooperates. Going back to the Murren area is a great idea. The RS bus ride includes some amazing scenery, but it's not the Bernina Express route.
When we did the tour, the Murren hotel had a business arrangement with the Schilthorn, so there was an option to have breakfast up there, but it was pouring rain, so we declined. The BO area can be spectacular even in cloudy weather, so don't despair, there are good hiking opportunities between showers. Chances are, you'll have beautiful weather.
What time of year is your tour? Do you have flights yet?
You could fly into Milan, go to Lake Como, ride the Bernina Express, go to Murren, then meet your tour group, if you have enough time. Just a thought... Then fly out of Zurich.
Have a great trip!

We did the tour pre-Covid so perhaps it has changed somewhat, but in Zermatt we had time to get lunch and walk around town a bit but not enough to take any of the rides or hikes. To me there was enough of that in the mountains in Murren and if I was going to go back anywhere it would be to the Lauterbrunnen area. But you could look on YouTube or in guidebooks at the options around Zermatt and see if it's something you'd also like to do.
