Restaurants for lunch and dinner

I'd suggest asking the staff at your hotel to recommend good restaurants in the vicinity. I've always found that they have good suggestions. You could also check the current Rick Steves Switzerland guidebook.

Eating out is really expensive in Switzerland. Lunch is more reasonable at the Manor department store, which has a rooftop food court. Also the Coop store has a food court. Both stop serving mid-afternoon. The Lucerne train station has more reasonably-priced food. Just brace yourself for the costs of dinners.
Having said that, enjoy this beautiful country!

If you enjoy Greek food, we had a really enjoyable meal at Restaurant Ammos. Great food and service, and we found it to be reasonably priced compared to other establishments in Switzerland. Indoor and outdoor seating are both offered, however the outdoor seating goes quickly, so reservations are suggested.
