If you're on a photo safari, spend as much time in the B.O. as possible. Pretty simple, even though most of Switzerland is very pretty.

Why Lucerne? You'd probably be happier heading east from Zurich, Chillon is interesting but not fascinating, Montreux has little to speak of.

That's quite a busy schedule you've got there, Sarita!
You can simplify it by visiting Mount Titlis while you stay in Lucerne, since it's nearby. There are plenty of sites in the old town part of Luzern/Lucerne that you'll want to take pictures of, like 500-year-old buildings with murals painted on them and wooden walking bridges over the river, and a clock tower with ramparts. You'll also get great pictures on the Mt. Titlis glacier. So you could use 2 full days staying in Luzern (3 nights).

Then take the beautiful train ride from Luzern to Wengen, changing trains in Interlaken Ost and in Lauterbrunnen, if you're going by train. Don't stay in Interlaken. Stay in Wengen, and give it more time there; you'll be overwhelmed with so many different stunning views. There are loads of waterfalls, mountains, and lakes in that area called the Berner Oberland, which includes Interlaken. They're all well connected with public transit (trains, ships, buses, cable cars).

You can then go to Château-de-Chillon (near Montreux). The next day you can travel back to Zurich. Zurich hotels are much more expensive than those in the other cities, so you might want to minimize your time there.
