I think I saw this mentioned somewhere that you could rent hiking boots either in Murren or one of the other towns in BO? Does anyone have a website for this or even a review? Id prefer to not lug around hiking boots :)

Haha! Yes sounds gross...but I think it was some program to test new boots, so not so gross.

you could avoid lugging around hiking boots if you wore them. Find some sort of compromise footwear that serves several functions (the cornerstone of packing light)
