Reliable Transportation from Basel Hotel to Airport

You can get to the airport free with your Basel Hotel Card from SBB station. First bus is at 4:10 am and it takes 21 minutes.

Thanks for the info but I'm unable to walk very far especially with luggage and need the taxi. Just wondering how reliable they are.

I think I'd have to trust the Hotel as knowing the reliability of local taxi services. If they arrange it, then the taxi company has a stake in long-term business with that hotel.

My experience in Switzerland is that all transportation modes run promptly and efficiently. I'm not sure the Swiss would tolerate a mode that is unreliable or untrustworthy.

When is your flight? In Europe it is often not needed to be at the airport multiple hours in advance. Especially early in the morning.

So unclear on public transport available with hotel card in Switzerland????

Yes, your hotel will give you the guest card and that is valid for public transportation during your stay including day of check out. You can use this to take the bus to the airport.
On day of arrival, you can also use your proof of hotel reservation to ride free from the airport to your hotel.

That Ibis used to have a pretty good breakfast and plenty of painted cows....

Very quick and easy walk from the station out the back of the station, or exactly one stop on a tram.
