We are 6 adults of family and extended family. My daughter and her son of ange 11 are in the group. I also have my son’s son of age 13.
When I go to buy 15 day Swiss travel pass , and enter 6 adults and two kids , it says charges 0 for the kids saying discount under family card.
While I see the discount for the child is valid only one of the parents accompany and not for the other kid whose parents are not accompanying. Only grandparents are accompanying.
The system at this stage of ticket purchase does not ask any questions about the child relationship with the travelers accompanying. What I do to proceed?

You could go ahead with the purchase, then when you arrive in Switzerland, explain the situation and pay for the grandkid. They do get a 50% discount on the pass. I can't really tell you not to worry about it as that would violate Forum guidelines. And they may just tell you not to worry about it as well, but that will be official.
Thanks Sam for your clarification 👍

When you buy the STS on the SBB website (www.sbb.ch) and add children you will see that you need to tick a box saying "Tick the checkbox if the child (6–16 years old) will be accompanied by a parent at all times."
If you do tick this box you get the family card, if you don't you get the youth STS.
So you see the system does ask about the relationship between the children and the adult.
What I would do is just leave your grandson off. Then once you are in Switzerland buy the "Co Travelers card". This was originally called the "grandchildren card" and was intended exactly for the scenario where grandparents take their grandchildren along. The card costs 30,- for a year, and with that card your Grandson travels for free if accompanied by you and you have a valid ticket (or pass). You can only buy this at a ticket counter however.
(They changed the name from Grandchildren Card to Childrens Co-Travel Card a while ago because they realised that godparetns, and uncles/aunts like to take their nieces and nephews out at times too. We had one for each of our godchildren until they turned 16).

I followers the instructions and entered only 3 adults and 2 kids as it says max 5 passengers. I also selected for one of the kids as accompanied by a parent and for the next I didn’t check that box. But when click enter to proceed I don’t get any error message but it is stuck. Then I deleted the last kid from the list and click enter it goes to next screen. I don’t understand when it says max 5 passengers and I entered only five it doesn’t move forward. But when I entered only 4 passengers it goes forward. What’s that I am doing wrong
