Recommended transport or bus from Geneva to Chamonix?

While you can take the shorter, faster shuttle vans in between Geneva and Chamonix, another option is the very scenic train around the lake to Martigny, then connecting to Vallorcine and Chamonix-Mont Blanc. About 3-1/2 hours vs 1-1/2 hours for van. Personally, I prefer the train unless I'm pressed for time.

I used one of the Shuttle services, and it was excellent. It might have been THIS one. The cost is reasonable and they will often drop you right at your hotel. I looked at travel by rail, but the Shuttle was faster and easier, so that's what I'd suggest.
