We finish a Rhine cruise in Basil and have seven days before flying home from Milan. What is most scenic route and where to stay the two night between Basil and Lake Como. I would assume train travel is the way to go. Thanks for any recommendations!

What time of year? Summer would do Luzern 2 days, 2 days in Pontresina, 3 days in Varenna on lake Como. Pontresina to Varenna use the Bernina Express train, or a regular train without the reservation fees. Look closely at the number of nights. Probably last night in Milan for morning flight to N.A., so maybe cut Luzern and add days to Varenna.

This is for June 2018. We are just spending two nights in Switzerland between Basil and Lake Como. What suggestions do you have for the two nights? We have two nights in Varenna and two in Verona. One undecided night before returning to Milan to fly out the next morning.
