Our plans have changed and heading to Zurich for 2 nights before our flight back to the US. Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations on fun things to do??

What do you consider fun?
How about swimming in the lake or taking a boat trip?
The modern design museum is nice too.

We enjoyed our lunch at Sprungli and just walking around Bahnhofstrasse and the old town. We really liked Zurich and found it be less touristy and crowded than Lucerne.

Zurich is a delight on tram/foot. Your hotel might offer you a free pass for local transportation, so you can hop on/off the trams as you like. From the tram explore a neighborhood on foot and see what you find. There is not much in the way of blockbuster sights in Zurich, but it's one of those towns you'd like to live in but not necessarily visit.

Take the S10 train to Uetliberg , beautiiful park overlooking the city with great views . Also , if you are an art and history fiend , check out the Cabaret Voltaire , home of the " Dada " movement - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabaret_Voltaire_(Zurich)
