recommendations for single woman traveling after completing the TMB

Hi, I will be doing the TMB in mid July with hiking companions. I have another week to explore Switzerland on my own. I know it is not a lot of time but would like to get out of the touristy areas and explore the small towns, scenery and eat great food. I will be traveling by train without a car and will need to return to Geneva by Aug 11. I will be completing the TMB in Chamanix and traveling from there before returning to Geneva to fly home. I am not opposed to traveling to Geneva from Chamanix on the last day of the TMB and then touring from there.

Thank you for your input.

Maybe share the end point of the TMB? That might help jog responses, as my first impulse would be to plan what works between there and Geneva to maximize your time.

There was recently another thread with a similar question. One of the responses included a link to thermal spas, which I thought was a great idea after all that hiking.

I did the TMB a few years ago. it is an amazing hike and a wonderful experience. Assuming you finish in Chamonix. If you want to relax I would recommend Annecy, a beautiful French town on a spectacular lake. If you want to hike more, I would recommend Lauterbrunnen/murren, The hiking here is easier than TMB and you can access the hikes with trains, gondolas etc. so there is not as much up and down. Lucern is beautiful also and can be combined with Lauterbrunnen. Geneva is an interesting spot for a day or two before your flight out. Enjoy.
