Recommendations for Short Stay in Montreux

My partner and I will be starting a late May 12 day trip through Switzerland in Montreux after arriving in Geneva. We have an afternoon, a full day, and a morning to fill, and after starting my travel research and reading this forum, there are more ways we could spend our time than I realized, so I would like to ask for some help narrowing down our options. Here’s what we have as of now:

Thursday afternoon: Chateau de Chilion
Friday: Vevey/St. Saphorin/Lavaux Vineyard or Martigny or Rochers de Naye
Saturday morning: Friday option we didn’t get to

We are active, in our mid 50s, enjoy the outdoors and have an appreciation for architecture, history, and quaint villages and towns that can give us a feel for the area where we are travelling. We aren’t wedded to this itinerary, or looking for boxes to check, and appreciate any feedback or alternative recommendations.

Thanks!

For Chateau de Chilion, I suggest walking one way and taking the boat the other way. You’ll have to check the boat schedule to see which will work better. It’s such a fabulous walk along the lake with all the flowers.

I am a huge fan of wandering around St. Saphorin and the vineyards. I’m not a fan of Vevey, but many here are. So, I would head to St. Saphorin early in the morning and then Rochers de Naye after that.

As you mentioned, you can be flexible as nothing has to be purchased in advance.

Enjoy!!!

Thank you Carrie! As long as we get an early start as you suggest, my hope is we will be able to do both.
