My family and I will be in Lucerne for 3 nights prior to a river cruise. There will be 6 adults and one 18-yr-old I would like a guide who knows Lucerne and will guide us for the 2 days (meet at hotel, take us to sights, etc)

This is your personal choice, but I find Lucerne a town that does not necessarily need a guide. There is plenty of information online that should help you with seeing some sights in Lucerne and possible trips to Mt. Pilatus or Rigi.
I agree, Lucerne is very easy town to explore, and the Swiss train system easy to use to access Mt Rigi or Pilatus.
