Has anyone stayed recently up on Ebenalp? We stayed in the Berghaus Aescher many years ago and loved it but they no longer have overnight stays. I guess they are still running the Berghaus as a restaurant however. Anyway, we are returning this summer and would love recommendations for another Berghaus type of experience.

I don't know of any places in that area that are similar to Berghaus Aescher, but you might get some ideas by having a look through one of these websites.....

One Berggasthaus I read about specifically and that doesn't seem to be included in the link above or below is on the Faulhorn. This too is going to require some hiking: 800m elevation differential and 4 to 10 km distance depending on the route: https://www.faulhorn.ch/en/hotel/faq
