It looked like it will rain on Fri, Sat and Sun when I visit Lucerne. I would like to get suggestions on plan B.
I was planning to visit old town and take the golden trip to Mt Pilatus. With the rain, I think I will have to do one day at the Swiss Transport Museum. I think I can still visit old town with some rains. I'm not sure if it's worth to pay for Mt Pilatus when it rains.
Check the cams at the hotels for the weather at the summits. Once I was there in December on a cloudy day, and we took the boat and cogwheel up to My Rigi, and found we were above the clouds, and above the weather! It was spectacular! Be flexible, usually the weather in the mountains is clearest in the mornings. A boat ride is still beautiful on a cloudy day, the RS city walk is great, and you can just duck inside stores if it rains heavily.

It might not be raining up on the mountain (and vice versa). Check with hotel first thing in the mornings or live webcams.
Do be flexible and check the weather in the morning. But I do think the old town and Swiss Transport museum make a for a good day. That’s how we spent one of our days in June.
