My daughter and I are doing a 2 week trip during her break from studying broad. We wanted to do a rail journey but not sure what is best. I would love ideas and recommendations. It would start on April 10th as first travel day, downside it is the beginning of holy week so might cause some problems,

We can really start from anywhere. We will be in London the week before. I obviously want to stop in cities and explore some major sights, so it won't all be about the train service. My daughter has not seen the major sights of any of that part of Europe

ok, which cities call out to you for the city experience?
It would be helpful to know what you would like to get out of the train trips. Do you want to get off and some hiking or gondola riding up mountains, or ride by on the train?
Something attracted you and your daughter to make a trip to Switzerland. What was it?
There are several beautiful train trips in Switzerland - you need to help us to help you.
Is the entire 2 weeks in Switzerland?
I'm afraid that as it is now the question is too vague....

it sounds like you're planning to visit more than just Switzerland, so perhaps you should post in General Europe and also check out some of Rick's proposed European train itineraries
