We will need to leave from Paris Gare du Lyon in June to Lausanne. I'm having a hard time booking through the SNCF website. What website could anyone suggest to book rail travel between these cities?

This is a TGV train. Keep trying the SNCF website or better yet, download the app to your phone or ipad.

I found the SNCF a site challenging as well. We have used trainline for rail tickets.

Just to make sure: the SNCF booking website is called SNCF Connect. If you go to the plain SNCF website, you will be able to look up train times, but not to book. Does it make any sense? Nope 😅.
SBB will work, and so will Trainline but I believe Trainline charges a few euros of commission to overseas buyers.

What trainline does better is show you which departure on a given day is cheapest, which can save you some money if you are flexible. On SBB you need to pick a departure first, and then only you see the price...
