Rail Tickets from Interlaken Switzerland

We will be staying 2 days in Interlaken. We are wanting to take the train to Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch. If I'm reading the ticket prices correctly, it says, for an around trip it would cost 240CHF for one person. Does that sound correct? If so, would be okay to buy tickets at the train station when we arrive, which will be in Oct. 2015?

If you know that you will be taking the Jungfraujoch trip, you may want to consider some of the swiss railway passes.

I like the website myswissalps.com it explains travel options very well.

photo,

Is there a reason you want to travel to the Jungfraujoch via Grindelwald rather than Lauterbrunnen? The SBB website shows trips in October from CHF 51.10 PP one-way from Interlaken Ost to the Jungfraujoch. The trips displayed all seem to route via Lauterbrunnen.

Thanks for your suggestions, Carol and Ken. I will check out those two suggestions. We are not sure how to get to Jungfrau and thought going by the way of Grindelwald was the way. So, Ken, no particular reason.

I think Ken is demonstrating the issue where SBB's "from" price in the shopping cart assumes you will have a Half-Fare Card. The full fares chart format for this region at http://www.jungfrau.ch/en/tourism/travel-information/tickets-rates/interlaken-ost/fares-for-individual-travellers/ shows roundtrip from Interlaken to Jungfraujoch at 204.40 CHF per person in standard class or 145 with the Good Morning/Good Afternoon ticket. On the same page, you can click the small link there for "Discounts" to see what discounts apply with different types of pass for different legs of the route.
