Rail Pass Confusion

Hi All: My best friend and I, both retired seniors, are planning a trip to Europe for approx 3 weeks end of September into the beginning of October & aren't sure if we should get a Eurail pass for everywhere or a combination of that & a Swiss Flex pass. Itinerary is as follows:
London to Montreux for 3 days. Will do the chocolate train 1 day & Chillon Castle another.
Montreux to Lauterbrunnen via Golden Express for 3 days. Want to do a boat tour on Lake Thun.
Lauterbrunnen to Lugano 3 days. Day trip to Milan, day trip to either Gandria or Locarno.
Lugano to Chur using local trains instead of Bernina Express.
Overnight in Chur
Chur to Vienna for 4 days
Vienna to Brussels 2 days with a trip to Bruges
then home. Any info you can give us would be appreciated.

London to Geneva (for Montreux) and Vienna to Brussels you probably best fly.

Within Switzerland either the HFC and buy tickets as you go, or the Swiss Travel Pass are the options. You will have to estimate what is best yourself

Do not bother with the Chocolate Train in Montreux. It is a ripoff. It isn't even a special train. Just travel to Broc and Gruyere using normal service trains, on your own schedule.

In Montreux you will get the Riviera Card. That gives you free public transit in the area, so the trip to Chillon is covered, and to Gruyeres/Broc partly.

Lugano to Chur is normally via Bellinzona and a bus over the San Bernardino. Are you planning on going via the Bernina Railway? In that case you can't really avoid the Bernina Express bus.
